Our God is delighted when we can find authentic and
loving relationships with each other.  And that is what
we are trying to build here in this church -
a community of authentic and loving relationships.

What's Worship Like?

OUR SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE BEGINS AT 10:00 AM.
Come As You Are.  We know that visiting a new church can be intimidating. What can you expect when you come?

You will find plenty of parking in either our Poly Drive or Rehberg parking lots.  Both entrances have handicap accessible walkways and automatic doors.  Upon your arrival you'll be warmly greeted and offered a bulletin from an usher.  Please ask an usher for large print worship resources and/or the assisted hearing system.
A Nursery is available for infants thru 4 years of age, and the service is also broadcast in the Fireside Room, so you can watch and listen from there if necessary.

A special message for children is provided prior to their leaving to attend their own time of spiritual learning.  Youth may choose to stay in worship or join activities. More information about our Children's, Youth, & Adult Faith Education Opportunities is just below this section.

Worship is a time to give thanks, celebrate, and be renewed.  Our worship is based in the rich traditions of the Christian church, a pattern of gathering together to hear and reflect on God's Word for our lives and our world, to pray and sing together, share fellowship and go out to share that grace with the world that God loves.

Faith Education for a Lifetime

Mayflower offers educational opportunities for all ages.
SUPER SUNDAY MORNINGS & SUMMERTIME ADVENTURES!
Picture
All ages are invited to join in the beginning of our Worship experience on Sunday mornings.

Our Prereaders (preschool-1st grade) and our Readers (2nd-5th grade) each have a class that uses the Whirl Lectionary curriculum. These young people and their leaders watch a short video that begins to bring the day’s bible story to life before they explore the story through art, games, and sharing.

Children and Youth Acolytes
Children Pre K-12th graders are invited to participate in bringing in the light of Christ to worship by lighting our candles at the beginning of our worship services.

Summertime Sundays = Adventure Hour!
Children Pre K-4th grade are invited to participate in this activity based program that takes the place of Sunday School classes from June through August.  Activities will vary each Sunday such as crafts and outside games.
YOUTH & YOUTH GROUP ACTIVITIES
Picture
One Sunday per month, Our older youth (6th-12th grades) view movies with an adult faith leader, discuss the movie theme and how it relates to our faith in the world.  Join us for the exciting and relevant ministry.

Youth Group Spirituality & Faith Formation
Youth Night every other Wednesday night, September-May!  From 6:30-8:00 pm Older Youth Group for grades 6-12 meet the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of the month.  The 2nd Wednesday will focus on a spiritual practice, the 4th Wednesday we will have guests from our congregation and wider community come and share their passions and gifts and faith and engage in uplifting discussions.  We’ll share dinner each night together.  Activities include Faith Formation local mission projects, and monthly fellowship fun activities.

On alternating years, the Youth are invited to participate in a regional UCC youth event or a mission trip.  In the past few years, our Youth have had the opportunity to travel to Alaska, New Mexico, Hawaii, and Belize as part of their faith formation.

OWL is a UCC Lifespan Human Sexuality & Self-esteem Training.  Our Whole Lives teaches the skills to make informed and responsible decisions about behavior and sexual health. It equips participants with accurate, age-appropriate information in human development, relationships, personal skills, sexual behavior, sexual health, and society and culture. Grounded in a holistic view of sexuality, Our Whole Lives not only provides facts about anatomy and human development, but also helps participants clarify their values, build interpersonal skills, grow open interfamily dialogues and understand the spiritual, emotional, and social aspects of sexuality.
